Raku Firing Workshop
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT WHICH MONTH YOU WANT TO FIRE FOR! The class is the last Sunday of every month, at Belltower Studio at 10:00am
The price is for ONE BISQUEWARE PIECE that you provide, roughly 6x6x6 dementions. We will go over a brief history of Raku, and how Raku kilns work. The process starts by putting your piece in the kiln and heating them up to around cone 04 (1960-degree F). Once it’s reached temperature, we will reach in with tongs and place your piece on a pile of wood chips that will be provided.
You may bring your own combustable materials, for example: horsehair, feathers, seaweed, salt, sugar.
